Meet Litia

Litia is a qualified Counsellor and Behaviour Support Practitioner with extensive experience supporting children, adolescents and adults with complex behavioural, psychosocial and mental health needs. With more than six years of experience in the disability sector, she has worked across a range of roles, including Disability Support Worker, Support Coordinator, Counsellor and Specialist Behaviour Support Practitioner, providing her with a comprehensive understanding of the NDIS and the importance of delivering coordinated, person-centred care.

Litia provides both professional counselling services and Specialist Behaviour Support interventions, enabling her to deliver holistic, evidence-based support that addresses both the emotional and behavioural needs of the individuals she works with. This dual scope of practice allows her to support participants experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, grief and loss, psychosocial disability, and behaviours of concern, while promoting meaningful, sustainable improvements in their overall wellbeing and quality of life.

She has a strong clinical interest in complex mental health, trauma, emotional regulation and behaviours of concern. Litia also has a particular passion for the criminal justice system and child protection, with these interests shaping her approach to supporting individuals with complex life experiences and multiple support needs. She works collaboratively with participants, families, carers and multidisciplinary teams to develop practical, evidence-based strategies that increase independence, strengthen resilience and create lasting positive outcomes.

As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, Litia completes comprehensive Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBAs), Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs), Positive Behaviour Support Implementation Plans and a broad range of clinical reports and assessments. As a Counsellor, she provides individual therapeutic intervention using a person-centred, trauma-informed and strengths-based approach, supporting participants to build emotional resilience, develop healthy coping strategies and work towards achieving their personal goals.

Based in Cardiff, Litia provides counselling and Specialist Behaviour Support services throughout Newcastle, the Hunter and the Central Coast, offering both face-to-face and telehealth appointments to ensure participants can access the support they need in a way that best suits their circumstances.
