
Meet Courtney
Courtney is a highly experienced Social Worker, Specialist Behaviour Support Practitioner and registered NSW Victims Support Counsellor, bringing more than 20 years of experience across the disability, community services and human services sectors. With the past eight years dedicated to behaviour support, she has developed extensive clinical expertise in supporting individuals with complex behavioural, psychosocial and trauma-related needs.
Courtney is passionate about delivering high-quality, evidence-based services that empower individuals to achieve meaningful, long-term outcomes while improving their overall quality of life.
Throughout her career, Courtney has worked with children, young people and adults across a diverse range of settings, supporting individuals living with autism, intellectual disability, ADHD, mental health conditions, trauma, complex behavioural presentations and psychosocial disabilities. Her broad experience enables her to understand the unique needs of each participant and develop practical, person-centred strategies that promote independence, emotional wellbeing and positive behavioural change.
Courtney is also a passionate facilitator of LEGO® Therapy, using structured, play-based interventions to help children and young people develop communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, flexible thinking and problem-solving skills. She creates engaging therapeutic environments where participants can build confidence, strengthen relationships and develop skills that transfer into everyday life.
As a registered NSW Victims Support Counsellor, Courtney provides trauma-informed counselling to individuals impacted by crime, supporting them throughout their recovery journey with compassion, empathy and evidence-based therapeutic interventions. She understands the profound impact trauma can have on emotional wellbeing and daily functioning and is committed to helping individuals rebuild resilience, restore confidence and regain a sense of safety and control.
In addition to her therapeutic work, Courtney has extensive experience in comprehensive report writing, psychosocial and functional assessments, risk assessments, service coordination and multidisciplinary collaboration. Her strong clinical knowledge, combined with her practical frontline experience, enables her to provide holistic, coordinated support that addresses both immediate needs and long-term goals.
Based in the Hunter region, Courtney supports participants throughout Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and surrounding areas through both face-to-face and telehealth appointments.
